RECLAIM DEMOCRACY www.reclaimdemocracy.org ReclaimDemocracy.org works to create a representative democracy with an actively participating public, where citizens don't merely choose from a menu of options determined by elites, but play an active role in guiding the country and political agenda. We believe that one's influence should be a direct result of the quality of one's ideas and the energy one puts into promoting their position, independent of wealth or status. We inspire citizens to consciously choose what role corporations should play in our society and to limit them to that role. We are a non-partisan grassroots organization and welcome all who share our goals.

DEMOCRACY UNLIMITED OF HUMBOLDT COUNTY www.duhc.org A great model for effective local action, this group is an invaluable source of information and resources.
Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County (DUHC) educates citizens about the illegitimate seizure of our authority to govern ourselves. We design and implement grassroots strategies that exercise democratic power over corporations and governments. We seek to create a truly democratic society by provoking a non-violent popular uprising against corporate rule in Humboldt County that can serve as a model for other communities across the United States.

POCLAD www.poclad.org The Program on Corporations, Law, and Democracy was among the earliest groups to identify and begin education on corporate personhood as a source of corporate domination.
Twelve writers, educators, activists, former elected officials, directors of environmental, labor and human rights organizations, union organizers, and researchers who work with politically active citizens, historians, lawyers, and others, exploring: a) how fundamental relationships that govern our lives were established (for example, why most corporate harms against life, liberty, property and democratic self-governance are regarded as legal; how corporations can deny their workers freedom of speech and other Bill of Rights protections); b) why decades of valiant citizen resistance, along with regulatory laws galore, have neither stopped corporate assaults nor shifted governing power to people and communities; c) what people can do.

VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE CAMPAIGN guvwurld.blogspot.com This is a campaign to pass local resolutions declaring a vote of no confidence in the electoral system and calling for instant runoff voting (IRV), proportional representation, public campaign financing, national standards for uniform election machines (or no machines at all), and an explicit determination that money does not equal speech and that corporations do not have the same rights as humans.
