Resolution passes unanimously
Berkeley's City Council voted unanimously at a June 15 meeting to approve a resolution against corporate constitutional rights and to recommend amending the California state and Federal Constitutions. The resolution asserts that by virtue of their constitutional rights as persons, corporations have too much influence, hindering the people's right to govern.
